Answer:

if y = 2x-5

then in the second equation we can find the value of x

5x-4(2x-5) = -10

5x-8x+20 = -10

-3x = -30

x = 10

then the value of y = 20-5 = 15

therefore the value of x = 10 and y =15 (ans)

Hope it helps

Answer:

ANSWER:-

y = 2x - 5

Substitute the value of y as 2x - 5 in the equation.

5x - 4y = - 10 \\ 5x - 4(2x - 5) = - 10 \\ 5x - 8x + 20 = - 10 \\ 5x - 8x = - 10 - 20 \\ - 3x = - 30 \\ x = ( - 30)/( - 3) \\ x = 10

Now, find the value of y

y = 2x - 5 \\ y = 2(10) - 5 \\ y = 20 - 5 \\ y = 15

⎇ x = x = x, equals 10

⎇ y = y = y, equals 15
