(x-h)^2+(y-k)^2=r^2, where h is the x-coordinate of the center, k is the y-coordinate of the center, and r is the radius.

The radius of the circle is half the diameter so: 8 / 2 = 4

The x-coordinate of the circle is 5

The y-coordinate of the circle is -2

Plug in.


(x-5)^2+(y-(-2))^2=4^2


(x-5)^2+(y+2)^2=16
