Hi there!

A triangles angles will always add up to 180°.

Therefore, we can add these equations to get 180° and then find x.

(4x-2) + (7x-2) + (5x-8) = 180°

Now we simply the equation by combining like terms.

16x -12 = 180°

Now we can solve for x. ^w^

16x -12 = 180°
+12 +12
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
16x = 192
/16 /16
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
x = 12

Yay! We found x. Now we plug it into each equation:

~ 4x-2
4(12)-2
48-2
46°

~ 7x-2
7(12)-2
84-2
82°

~ 5x-8
5(12)-8
60-8
52°

It’s always a good idea to check if these angles add up properly to 180°.

46° + 82° + 52° = 180°

Congrats! We are all done ^u^

Answers:

X = 12
mx = 46°
my = 82°
mz = 52°
