A sample of discrete, quantitative data is skewed right and has a single outlier on the right side. The lower quartile is 45 and the upper quartile is 87. What are possible measures of the mean and median?

Lower quartile
x=45

Upper quartile
y=87

Generally the equation for Mean is mathematically given by


\=x=(Upper+Lower)/(2)


\=x=(x+y)/(2)


\=x=(45+87)/(2)


\=x=66

Since Median m is half middle of distribution


m=(Upper+Lower)/(2)

Therefore


\=x=m


m=66
