my guess is n1 is relating to the 4.9, and if it then you would do the Pythagorean theorem. because the degrees are there to let you know it's a right angle and you are able to use the theorem..... so -

4.9^2 + 4.9^2 =C^2

48.02 =C

√48 = 6.93 (rounded to nearest hundredth)

then you add them all together

4.9+4.9+6.93=16.73
