PLEASE HELP:

A summer camp tournament starts with 1024 players. After each round, half the players are eliminated. How many players remain after 7 rounds?

I know the answer is 8, but I want to know how to solve it.

A formula we could use for this... 1024(1/2)^x

That is because this would be equal to 1024 times 1/2, x number of times.

Just guess and check for x.

Divide 1024 by its half and keep dividing every number by its half and that is how you solve it
