Explanation:

(x-1)²-20=44

x²-2x+1-20=44

x²-2x-19=44

x²-2x-19-44=0

x²+7x-9x-19-44=0

x²+7x-9x-63=0

x(x=7)-9x-63=0

x(x+7)-9(x+7)=0

(x+7)(x-9)=0

x+7=0/x-9=0

X1=-7/X2=9
