x = 22.5 cm

Explanation:

Since the triangles are similar then the ratios of corresponding sides are equal, that is


(FH)/(AC) =
(GH)/(BC) , substitute values


(x)/(9) =
(12.5)/(5) ( cross- multiply )

5x = 112.5 ( divide both sides by 5 )

x = 22.5 cm
