Answer:

6 √15

Explanation:

a^2 + b^2 = c^2

plug in your values

(6*6) + (b^2) = (24*24)

solve your exponents

36 + b^2 = 576

subtract 36 from both sides

b^2 = 540

find the square root of both sides

√b^2 = b

√540 = 6√15

b= 6√15

X=23

Pythagorean Theron is
a2+b2=c2

C is always the hypotenuse or the longest side of the triangle, which in the case is the value of 24. A and b do not matter where you put them they are just the two shorter sides.

You’re equation can look either like
A2+6(6)=24(24)
Or
6(6)+a2=24(24)

The first one is what I used.

A2+6(6)=24(24)
Simplify after substituting.

A2+36=576

Subtract 36 from each side to make equation equal.

A2=540

Take the square root from either side

A=23.23

Round to the nearest whole number

A≈23

You can always go back and check your work if you feel like you need to by plugging your answer back into the equation where A is.
