The students need to order balloons. Supplier A offers 1,000 balloons for $29. Supplier B sells 60 dozen balloons for $20. Which supplier offers the lower price per balloon and how much does that supplier charge per balloon?​

Explanation:

Supplier A

To find the price of 1 balloon, it'd be $/balloons. By this logic, one balloon would be 29/1000 $ or 0.029$.

Supplier B

One dozen is 12, 60*12=720, to find the price of one balloon, we'll use the equation we found earlier, $/balloons. That would equate the price of 1 balloon to 20/720, or 1/36 $, or 0.02(7).
