Answer:

y = 3/4x + 1/4

*view attached graph*

Explanation:

y= -4/3x-2

Perpendicular lines have reciprocal slopes. So, the slope of -4/3 will now be 3/4

y = mx + b

y = 3/4x + b

4 = 3/4(5) + b

4 = 15/4 + b

4(4 = 15/4 + b)

16 = 15 + 4b

-15 -15

1 = 4b

/4 /4

1/4 = b

y = 3/4x + 1/4

Check your answer using (5, 4):

y = 3/4x + 1/4

4 = 3/4(5) + 1/4

4 = 15/4 + 1/4

4 = 16/4

4 = 4

This statement is true.

Hope this helps!
