We can find the slope.


( 5 + 1)/(1 + 2 ) = 2

so m is 2


y = 2x + c

Plug one the equations in to find c.


- 1 = 2( - 2) + c


- 1 = - 4 + c


3 = c

so the equation is


y = 2x + 3
