Explanation:

Rolling a number cube: 6 outcomes

tossing a coin: 2 outcomes

At this point, we have 6 x 2 = 12 outcomes, because each of the 6 numbers on the cube can each have a heads or tails outcome

Choosing card A or card B gives us 2 more outcomes for each of the 12 outcomes we have so far.

12 x 2 = 24
