a propane tank containing 55L has 2.46 moles of the gas. (C3H8!) What would be the number of moles if 1/2 of the gas is used?

number of moles used:

1/2 x 2.46 moles = 1.23

number of moles left:

2.46 - 1.23 = 1.23 moles
