Answer:

The area is 217cm

Explanation:

area of triagle:

4x7 = 28

28/2 = 14

area of rectangle:

11x21 = 231

Since the triangle is inside the blue you subtract its area from the blue's area.

231-14 = 217

Answer:

217 sq cm

Explanation:

to find the area of the blue portion you can find the area of the entire rectangle and subtract from it the area of the triangle

Area(rectangle) = 21 x 11

A = 231

Area(triangle) = 4(7)÷2

A = 14

Area(blue) = 231 - 14 = 217
