Which expression is not equivalent to 8 + (n - 4)?

(8 + n) - 4

n + 4

12 + n

Hi!

8+n-4 = n+4

n+4 = n+4 (Can not be simplified).

(8+n)-4 = n+4

12+n = 12+n (Can not be simplified).

(8-4)+n = n+4

So the answer would be 12+n because it does not equal n+4.

I think the answer is n+4 because the 8 wasn’t added or subtracted.
