Answer:

(0, 1) is the midpoint of K.

Explanation:

Let's reverse the order of motion and go from E to W. Then it becomes more obvious that the change in x here is (4 - [-4]), or 8, and the change in y is (3 - [-3]), or 6.

The midpoint of the line segment representing the change in x is 8/2, or 4.

That of the segment representing the change in y is 6/2, or 3.

Adding 4 (found above) to -4 (x-coordinate of vertex E) yields 0. The midpoint of the x-component of location of K is x = 0.

Adding 3 (found above) to -1 yields 1. The midpoint of the y-component of K is y = 1.

Thus the coordinates of K are (0, 1)

Answer:

(0,1)

Explanation:

Coordinates of midpoints equal to half of total of 2 endpoints

xK = (xW + xE)/2 = (4 + -4)/2 = 0/2 = 0

yK = (yW + yE)/2 = (3 + -1)/2 = 2/2 = 1

so coordinate of K is (0,1)
