In we know what the x and y are because (3,2) is in the same form as (x,y) so we know that x=3 and y=2.

with this we plug the numbers in.

(-8×3)-(2×2)<6

-8×3= -24

2×2=4

-24-4=-28

-28<6

so (3,2) is a solution to the problem.

Answer: Yes

Explanation:

1. -8 (3) - 2(2) < 6 (Add in the co-ordinated where they belong)

2. -24 -4 < 6 (Simplify)

3. -28 <6

-28 is smaller than 6, so the answer will be yes!
