2 workers are working together. They finish their work in 12 hours. if the ratio of their work together is 3:2 how long did each of them work

7.2 and 4.8hrs

Explanation:

Given the ratio it took them to finish work as 3:2

Total ratio = 3+2 = 5

For the larger ratio;

3/5 *12

= 36/5

= 7.2hrs

For the shorter ratio;

2/5 * 12

= 24/5

= 4.8hrs

Hence the first worker worked for 7.2hrs while the second was 4.8hrs
