two friends bought a strip of tickets for the school carnival. Arlo used 5/6 of his tickets. jayson used 6/6 of his tickets.

Erm, I don't know what you want answered, but here's some basics:

So to find how many total tickets were bought, we just have to add both of the strips together:

6 + 6 = 12

So the total number of tickets bought was 12.

To find the amount of ticket used, you have to add the top numbers together:

5 + 6 = 11

So the total number of tickets used is 11.

If you wanted to find how many more tickets Jayson used than Arlo, you'd have to subtract Arlo's tickets from Jayson's:

6 - 5 = 1

So Jayson used 1 more ticket than Arlo.
