Does anybody know how to solve this problem, but using the work shown to help solve?

The value of y varies directly with x. When y=75, x= 0.5. What is the value of y when x is 2.25?

Even though I pulled up the work, I still don’t know what to do ‍♀️

Answer:

y=337.5 when x = 2 1/4

Explanation:

Well first we want to know what's the function here

How do we get y to be 75 if x is .5?

75/.5 is 150

so can we say the function is 150x=y

Now lets plug

2 1/4 or 2.25 for x

2.25*150 = 337.5

y=337.5 when x = 2 1/4

Hope that helps!
