∆ABC is a right angled isosceles triangle

perpendicular [p]=base [b]=a=b

hypotenuse [h]=3ft

By using Pythagoras law

h²=p²+b²

3²=a²+a²

9=2a²

a=√(9/2)=
(3 √(2) )/(2)

so

a=b=
(3 √(2) )/(2)
