We would have to apply Pythagorean' theorem.

Let the length of sides of the triangle be;

Opposite side = a

Adjacent side = b

Hypotenuse side = c

From Pythagorean theorem;

c² = a² + b²

When a = 7, b = 24 and c = 25

25² = 7² + 24²

625 = 49 + 576

625 = 625

This ultimately implies that, the square of the hypotenuse of a right angle triangle is equal to the sum of the square of its opposite and adjacent sides according to Pythagorean' theorem.
