Data

Mean

  • (55*2+ 60*2+ 70+ 80*3 + 90+ 120)/10 = 75

MAD

  • (20*2+15*2+5+5*3+15+45)/10 = 15

Neighborhood 2

Data

  • 100, 110, 110, 110, 120, 120, 120, 140, 150, 160

Mean

  • (100 + 110*3+ 120*3+ 140 + 150+ 160)/10 = 124

MAD

  • (24+14*3+4*3+16*3+16+26+36)/10 = 20.4

As we see the means are too different (75 vs 124) than MADs (15 vs 20.4).
