a^2 + b^2 = c^2

9) 6^2 + x^2 = 8^2

- 36 + x^2 = 64

- 36 - 36

Square root them

Squareroot x^2 is x

Square root 28 is 5.29 round is 5

so x = 5

10) 3^2 + x^2 = 5^2

9 + x^2 = 25

Square root them

square root of x ^2 is x and square root of 16 is 4

so x = 4
