What are the difference between British and French system of administration during the colonial period in Africa

In simple words, both the administration were same on the upper administrator level, however, the differences were evident or basic framework level.

The French colonial government was highly centralised and focused on the integration of imperial colonies into France, whereas the British colonial government was far more localised and focused on collaboration with regional leaders.
