Suppose you know the minimum, lower quartile, median, upper quartile, and maximum values for a set of data. Explain how to create a box plot for the data set.

Answer: First create a range for the number line. Label the number line. Then plot the minimum, lower quartile, median, upper quartile, and maximum values in this order. Draw a box from the lower quartile to the upper quartile, the line in the middle will go at the median. Now draw the line from the minimum & maximum values to the box.
