Why might a photographer use value in a photograph? to make the photograph feel visually complete to guide the audience to view the photograph in a certain order to tell the audience how an object would feel if they could touch it to draw the audience’s eye to certain parts of the image

Using the value scale helps them create the illusion of depth in their two dimensional artworks, with highlight and shadow. As photographers, you probably refer to this as tonal scale. This scale has been broken into 3 sections, identifying the darker shadow tones, mid-tones, and brighter highlights.
