Can someone help me with this problem 3(x+1)=11 I need it step by step

3(x+1)=11
remove the parenthesis
3x+1=11
move the constant to the right side and change the sign
3x=11-3
subtract
3x=8
divide both sides by 3
x=8/3 or 2 2/3
