If C = t - 5 and B = t^2 + 2, find an expression that equals 2C + 2B in standard

t² + t - 3 = 0

Explanation:

C = t - 5

B = t² - 2

2C + 2B

= 2(t - 5) + 2(t² + 2)

= 2t - 10 + 2t² + 4

= 2t² + 2t - 6

=> t² + t - 3 = 0
