Explanation:

First, you have to find a common demenator between the fractions, you can do this by multiplying the denomenators together, 8 * 5 is 40

Next, you have to multiply the first fraction by 5/5 and the second fraction by 8/8 and now you have 15/40 + 16/40, and now that the fractions have the same denomenators you can just add the numerators

And you get 30/40, which can be reduced to 3/4 by diviging both the numerator and denomenator by 10
