Explanation:

If lines AB and CD are parallel, then we can assume that m<5 and m<6 are supplementary that is the sum of both angles is 180degrees

Hence;

3x - 31 + 148 = 180

3x + 117 = 180

Subtract 117 from both sides

3x+117-117 = 180 - 117

3x = 180 - 117

3x = 63

x = 63/3

x = 21

Hence the value of x will be 21 if both angles are supplementary
