Question:-

Find the surface area of a cylinder

whose radius is 5 cm and whose

height is 10 cm.

Answer:-

Given:-

\bullet Radius of a cylinder (r) is 5 cm

\bullet Height of a cylinder (h) is 10 cm

To Find:-

The surface area of a cylinder

Solution:-

We know the formula of surface area of a cylinder is –

{ \boxed{\rm \red {2πr² \: + \: 2πrh}}}

So, putting the value of r = 5 cm and h = 10 cm we get,

2πr(r + h) = 2 ×
(22)/(7) × 5(5 + 10)

=
(220)/(7)(5 + 10)

=
(220)/(7) × 15

=
(220 \: × \: 15)/(7)

=
(3300)/(7)

= 471.43 cm²

The surface area of a cylinder is 471.43 cm². [Answer]
