It's isosceles

  • A(-3,1)
  • B(1,-2)
  • C(4,2)

\\ \rm\hookrightarrow AB=√((-2-1)^2+(1+3)^2)=√(9+16)=√(25)=5

\\ \rm\hookrightarrow BC=√((2+2)^2+(4-1)^2)=√(16+9)=5

\\ \rm\hookrightarrow AC=√((4+3)^2+(2-1)^2)=√(50)

  • AB=BC

Its isosceles

Answer:

  • its an isosceles triangle
  • not a right angle triangle.

part A:

\sf AB^2 = (-2-1)^2 + (1+3)^2

\sf AB^2 =25

\sf AB =5

\sf AC^2 = (2-1)^2 + (4+3)^2

\sf AC^2 = 50

\sf AC = √(50)

\sf AC = 5√(2)

\sf BC^2 = (2--2)^2 + (4-1)^2

\sf BC^2 = 25

\sf BC = 5

use the formula:

short side² + short side² = long side²

( 5√2 )² + 5² = ( 5√2 )²

75 = 50
