Two containers designed to hold water are side by side, both in the shape of a cylinder. Container A has a diameter of 30 feet and a height of 16 feet. Container B has a diameter of 22 feet and a height of 20 feet. Container A is full of water and the water is pumped into Container B until Conainter B is completely full. To the nearest tenth, what is the percent of Container A that is full after the pumping is complete?

Radius = diameter/2 = 30/2

= 15 feet

Height = 16 feet

Volume of a cylinder = πr²h

= 3.14 * 15² * 16

= 3.14 * 225 * 16

Container B:

Diameter = 22 feet

Radius = diameter / 2

= 22/2 = 11 feet

Height = 20 feet

Volume of a cylinder = πr²h

= 3.14 * 11² * 20

= 3.14 * 121 * 20

= 7598.8 feet ³

Container A - container B

= 11,304 feet ³ - 7598.8 feet ³

= 3,705.2 feet ³
