Explanation:

4x - 7y = 14 (step 1: original equation)

-4x -4x (step 2: remove 4x, BS)

-7y = -4x + 14

7y = 4x - 14 (step 3: switch signs)

y = 4/7x - 2 (step 4: divide BS by 7)

In the form y = mx + b, b is the y-intercept and m is the slope. In this case, our b (y-intercept) is (0, -2) or just -2. Our m (slope) is 4/7 (four sevenths).
