Answer:

x = 20; angles = 58°

Explanation:

Since the given triangle is an isosceles triangle & the 2 opposite angles are equal, then even the opposite angles of the equal opposite sides will be equal.

So,

3x - 2 = x + 38

3x - x = 38 + 2

2x = 40

x = 40/2

x = 20

Angles:

■ 3x - 2

= 3(20) - 2

= 60 - 2

= 58°

■ x + 338

= 20 + 38

= 58°

=》Both the angles are equal & each measure 58°
