Do you think the Great Depression was inevitable? Is there any way it could have been avoided? Why or why not?

The Dust Bowl

The consumerism and debt from the 1920s

In my opinion, I think the Great Depression was inevitable. The debt from the 1920’s made it really hard for the US to stay financially stable and it made it almost impossible for the Great Depression to be avoided because of that. The Stock Market Crash also just made things a whole lot worse because the US was already having trouble with staying afloat economically, so the Great Crash just obliterated the US until the country was into a pit of despair
