From what i understand from the picture is there is a right angle triangle given with the hypotenes being 37, base being 12 and the perpendicular is 35.

we need to determine the value or Cos x

Easy way to remember which value to out where is

sinx=p/h -----> some people have

cosx=b/h ----> curly brown hair

tanx=p/b -----> through proper brushing

learned this is 8th grade in collage right now still comes in handy

we need cosx so we will use the second formula

cosx=(b)/(h) \\\cosx=(12)/(37) \\x= cosx^(-1) ((12)/(37))\\

which can then be simplified using a calculator

x= 71.1 degree

for this question from what i understand is the answer is cos x = cos (12/37)
