the amount of water on either pool, now this is assuming the pool is filled up to the top, will simply be the volume of the rectangular prism, in this case the pools are in meters, so the volume will be in meter³.

the volume of a rectangular prism is simply the product of length*width*height, and we know all those for each.

so the volume of the larger pool is just 50*25*3 = 3750 m³.

the volume of the smaller pool is just 21*25*2 = 1050 m³

if we take the volume of the larger pool as the 100%, so we can say that if 3750 is 100%, what is 1050 off of it in percentage?

\begin{array}{ccll} amount&\%\\ \cline{1-2} 3750&100\\ 1050&x \end{array}\implies \cfrac{3750}{1050}=\cfrac{100}{x}\implies \cfrac{25}{7}=\cfrac{100}{x} \\\\\\ 25x=700\implies x=\cfrac{700}{25}\implies x=\stackrel{\%}{28}
