2(x - 3) = 2x + 5 distribute by multiply 2 into the parenthesis.

2x - 6 = 2x + 5

-2x -2x subtract 2x on both sides, 2x's will cancel on both sides.

____________

-6 = 5

Since -6 = 5, there is no solution because -6 cannot equal to 5, which is a false statement. Thus, "C. There is no solution." is the correct answer. Hope this helps :)
