Explanation:

For the first one, you must get x by itself in one side. to get rid of the Positive 3, you must subtract it from both the 3 and 10on the other side. Now u have 7x > 7. You then divide the seven from thr seven on one side and the seven on the other side. X> 1

number 2. multiplying is the opposite of dividing right? So you would multiply the 4 by what is on the other side, 3/8. 4 can also be written as a fraction, 4/1. When you multiply this out, you get 12/8 which is the same thing as 3/2.

1) 7x + 3 > 10
7x > 10 - 3
7x > 7
x > 1
2) x/4 = 3/8
8x = 3(4)
8x = 12
x = 12/8
x = 3/2
