k(x)=10^x given -3≤x≤1

Explanation:

10^(x+h) is always larger than 10^x.

so, the minimum function value in that interval is 10^-3.

and the maximum function value in that interval is 10¹.

10^-3 = 1/1000

10¹ = 10

remember, a negative exponent (like -n) means 1/(...^n)
