to find slope (you can also do this in a graph) you do rise over run and Rise is on the y-axis so your y variables are -3 and 6 you subtract 6 from -3 so you do...

-3 - 6

and now you do your run which is your x axis variables which are two and -1 you subtract -1 from 2 so you do...

2 - (-1)

the answer to your rise is -9 and the answer to your run is 3 we then want to do rise over run which is -9 / 3 you get -3 and that will be your answer.
