If the Earth were not tilted on its axis, what would be the effect on the seasons?

The seasons would be essentially nonexistent.

The seasons would remain the same as they are now.

The poles would have warmer summers and colder winters.

The poles would have cooler summers and warmer winters.

If the earth weren't tilted, it would rotate like that as it revolved around the sun, and we wouldn't have seasons—only areas that were colder (near the poles) and warmer (near the Equator). But the earth is tilted, and that's why the seasons happen.

Answer:

the seasons would be essentially nonexistent.

Step-by-step explanation:

tilted axis controls the amount of sunlight each hemisphere recieves.

for example if the northern hemisphere is tilted towards the sun, it's the summer season in northern hemisphere and winter in southern.
