Explanation:

the domain of a function is the interval or set of valid values for x (the input variable).

y = -x²

has no limitations for x. any value from -infinity to +infinity is possible and valid.

so, the domain is (-infinity, +infinity).

please consider the round brackets, because infinity is not a valid value and is therefore not included in the interval.
