I need help graphing this question,


f(x)=(1)/(18)(x+5)^2-11

Answer:

The graph is attached

  • First identify the leading coefficient. It is positive in our case, it means the graph opens up
  • Plot vertex,
  • f(x) = a(x - h)² + k
  • Vertex is (h, k), in our case it is (-5, -11)
  • Find x and y-intercepts and plot
  • To find x- intercepts find x when y = 0
  • To find the y-intercept find y when x = 0

Once all points are plotted, connect them and extend up (see attached)
