I hoped to be with her when the surgery was done and provide her with the needed help but was absent because I was in school far away from the state where the surgery was done.

Outcome: The surgery was successful as my aunt volunteered to be with her at the hospital.

Feelings: I felt bad for not being there for her when the surgery was done. However, I was grateful for the fact that she had the support of my aunt and relatives during and after the surgery.
