I am really bad at Math, does anyone know how many solutions are in these 1. 2x - x + 7 = x +3 + 4 2. -2(x + 1) = -2x + 5 3. 4x + 2x + 2 = 3x - 7 4. 4(2x + 1) = 5x + 3x + 9 5. X + 2x + 7 = 3x - 7

Explanation:

1. 2x - x + 7 = x +3 + 4

Collecting like terms;

2x - x - x = 3 + 4 - 7

2x = 0

x = 0

2. -2(x + 1) = -2x + 5

Expanding the bracket;

- 2x - 2= - 2x + 5

Collecting like terms;

- 2x + 2x = 5 + 2

0 = 7

It has no solution

3. 4x + 2x + 2 = 3x - 7

Collecting like terms;

4x + 2x + 3x = - 7 -2

9x = -9

x = -1

4. 4(2x + 1) = 5x + 3x + 9

Expanding the bracket

8x + 4 = 5x + 3x + 9

Collecting like terms

8x - 5x - 3x = 9 - 4

0 = 5

It has no solution

5. X + 2x + 7 = 3x - 7

Collecting like terms

x + 2x - 3x = - 7 - 7

0 = - 14

It has no solution
