I am thinking of two consecutive integers. Twice the first is equal to the sum of the second plus 2. What is the larger integer? ​

the largest integer is 4

Explanation:

start with calling the integer "x" so

twice the first which is "2x" equals the second which is "x+1" (because it is consecutive number) plus 2 so it will be "x+3"

so the equation will be (2x=x+3)

then solve it by dividing by x both sides

so x=3

and you wanted the larger so 3+1=4
